We provide legal advice to County departments on a wide range of matters that affect the health, safety, and well-being of the county’s residents. We support the County’s efforts to protect public health and the environment, provide healthcare services, address homelessness and increase access to affordable housing, provide a positive working environment for County employees, maintain roads and parks, ensure access to a fair criminal justice system, and serve vulnerable populations. We research and analyze emerging areas of law, develop ordinances and policies, negotiate contracts and transactions, and help to solve challenging issues for County departments.
