Robert Fannion
Deputy County Counsel
Overview
Robert D. Fannion joined the Office of the County Counsel in 2020 as a member of the Finance, Government Operations, and Technology Team, advising the Finance Agency, comprising the Controller-Treasurer, the County Clerk-Recorder, and the Department of Tax and Collections, on a range of legal issues.
Prior to joining the Office of the County Counsel, Robert represented investors and private companies in complex M&A transactions and startups in capital raises and general corporate matters. He also served as a judicial clerk to two Chief Judges at the U.S. Court of International Trade. Prior to attending law school, Robert served on the faculties of Harvard University and Reed College, teaching courses in the social sciences and history. Robert’s professional expertise includes finance, corporate law, complex contracts, administrative law, and property taxation.
