Lead Deputy County Counsel
Overview
Relic Sun joined the Office of the County Counsel in 2020. Relic leads the Equal Opportunity and Employment Investigations Team and is also a member of the Labor and Employment Team. Relic advises County departments in all aspects of labor and employment law and advises the County’s Equal Opportunity Division on personnel investigations, reasonable accommodations, and conflict resolution. Prior to joining the County, Relic represented workers and individuals in arbitrations and class actions asserting race, gender, alienage discrimination, and wage and hour claims. She has spoken at class action and public interest conferences. She conducts trainings for executives, supervisors, and staff on preventing workplace discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and bullying. Relic’s professional expertise includes equal opportunity and anti-discrimination law, wage and hour law, labor law, and litigation and arbitrations. Relic is admitted to practice in the California and New York state bars.
