Michael C. Serverian joined the Office of the County Counsel in 2013 on the Office’s Civil Rights, Tort, and Employment Litigation Team. Michael currently litigates cases in state and federal courts representing the County and its individual employees in a variety of litigation matters including claims against the Sheriff’s Department and the Sheriff’s Custody Bureau. Michael also practices in the area of employment litigation. Michael has tried numerous cases to verdict for a variety of public entities in both federal and state courts. Michael’s professional expertise includes civil litigation, including claims of constitutional violations against law enforcement officers/correctional officers, employment litigation and premise liability, and appellate litigation.
