Overview
Michael Rossi joined the Office of the County Counsel in 1997 and is currently the Lead Deputy County Counsel for the Community Protection Team.
During his tenure with the Office of the County Counsel, Michael has served in nearly every major practice group in the Office, including Litigation, General Government, Labor and Employment, Probate, Juvenile Dependency, and Community Protection. He has tried over 300 cases in civil, criminal, probate, juvenile dependency, and family-law courts. Michael has briefed and argued dozens of appellate cases on both the state and federal level, resulting in published decisions in the areas of both civil and criminal law. Michael’s professional expertise includes state and federal litigation, state and federal appellate practice, civil enforcement in the areas of environmental protection, consumer protection, workers’ rights, and housing rights, nuisance abatement, and County governance.
