Overview
Mark Gonzalez joined the Office of the County Counsel in 1999 and has been the lead attorney for the Adult and Elder Protection team since 2006. His primary practice areas include probate, probate litigation, financial elder abuse, conservatorships, and conservatorship, decedent, and trust administration. Mark has successfully tried scores of probate and Lanterman-Petris-Short (LPS) Act matters and has obtained significant financial recoveries on behalf of financially exploited elders. Mark’s professional expertise includes civil litigation in state and federal court, probate and mental health conservatorships, conservatorship, decedent, and trust administration, including advising the County’s Public Administrator/Guardian, probate and elder abuse litigation, decedent estate administration, and appellate matters.
