Overview
Laura Stornetta joined the Office of the County Counsel in June 2021 and works on the Workers’ Compensation Team. Her practice focuses on the litigation of workers’ compensation claims and she appears at various District Offices throughout Northern California. She has successfully resolved hundreds of workers’ compensation cases through informal resolution, litigation, and mediation. Ms. Stornetta began her legal career at Sonoma County Counsel before spending approximately 10 years defending workers’ compensation claims for a broad base of clients, followed by three years representing primarily peace and safety officers as an applicant’s attorney. Laura’s professional expertise includes worker’s compensation litigation, appellate litigation, and subrogation litigation.
