Jennifer Tsou
Deputy County Counsel
Overview
Jennifer Tsou joined the Office of the County Counsel in 2015. For more than fifteen years, her practice has focused on juvenile dependency law and advice. From 2015 through 2022, she represented the Department of Family and Children’s Services and social workers in court. Jennifer’s professional expertise includes juvenile dependency law, juvenile dependency trials and hearings, and Indian Child Welfare Act with a specialty in Tribal Customary Adoption for Indian children. In 2019, Jennifer received the County Counsels’ Association of California Recognition Award for her service with the Association’s Child Welfare Section.
Beginning, in 2022, Jennifer joined the Worker’s Compensation Team and represents the County’s Risk Management Worker’s Compensation Division. Currently, Jennifer focuses on litigation of workers’ compensation claims and appears at various District Offices.
