Jennifer S. Sprinkles is the co-Lead of the Health and Hospitals team. Jennifer joined the Office of the County Counsel as an intern in 1998 and an attorney in 2000. Jennifer handled child dependency matters on behalf of the County from 2000 to 2005. In 2005 she joined the Health and Hospitals team and has represented various clients including the Public Health Department, Valley Health Plan, the Behavioral Health Services Department, and Santa Clara Valley Healthcare. Jennifer works closely with hospital executive and physician leadership on legal and business matters including hospital and clinic operations, risk management, contracting and procurement, privacy and security, and regulatory compliance. Jennifer’s professional expertise includes hospital and clinic operations, privacy and data security (HIPAA and other state and federal health care privacy laws), health care contracting, medical bioethics and consent, CalAIM implementation, behavioral health care law, managed care contracting, oversight, and compliance, and HRSA compliance.
