Overview
Allen Brandt joined the Office of the County Counsel in 2017 on the Office’s Civil Rights, Tort, and Employment Litigation Team, ultimately joining the Adult and Elder Protection Team. His current practice involves representing the County in conservatorship matters under the Lanterman-Petris-Short Act and the Probate Code. Prior to joining the Office, Allen was an associate in the Litigation section of Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP, a large corporate law firm. Allen also spent a year clerking for the Honorable Maxine M. Chesney, a federal judge in the Northern District of California. Allen’s professional expertise includes civil litigation, employment litigation, complex commercial litigation, insurance litigation, securities litigation and internal investigations, and federal Indian and tribal law.
