Overview
Erin Kunze joined the Office of the County Counsel in 2023. She is a member of the Labor and Employment Team and the Equal Opportunity and Employment Investigations Team. Erin advises County departments on labor relations and employment matters. Prior to joining the County, Erin worked in private practice representing California public agencies in all areas of labor and employment law, including employee pensions, benefits, wage and hour, labor relations, and related matters. She regularly advises on best employment practices, as well as preventing and responding to harassment, discrimination, and retaliation in the workplace. Erin’s professional expertise includes the disability interactive process, prevention of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation, public employee pensions, employee leaves, labor relations under the Meyers-Milias Brown Act (MMBA), wage & hour law applicable to public agencies, the Ralph M. Brown Act (Brown Act), and the California Public Records Act (CPRA).
