Liz Morgan has worked in the Office of the County Counsel since 2000. For the majority of her tenure, her primary practice focus has been juvenile dependency law and related matters. She successfully represented the Department of Family and Children’s Services in hundreds of hearings and trials, lasting from less than half a day to more than two weeks. From mid-2022 through early 2024, Liz joined her colleagues handling civil litigation defense work, further broadening her scope of practice on behalf of the County, which has also included education-law and workers’ compensation matters. Liz currently works as the Lead Deputy County Counsel supporting the Child and Family Protection Team.
