Deputy County Counsel
Overview
Angelica Pe Benito joined the Office of the County Counsel in 2023. As a member of both the Labor and Employment Team and the Equal Opportunity and Employment Investigations Team, Angelica advises the County’s departments in all aspects of labor and employment law. Angelica also advises the County’s Equal Opportunity Division on personnel investigations, reasonable accommodations, and conflict resolution. Prior to joining the County, Angelica represented public entities before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the California Civil Rights Department, and the Public Employment Relations Board. She has conducted investigations into a variety of workplace and personnel issues. She conducts trainings on preventing discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and abusive conduct in the workplace. Angelica’s professional expertise includes equal opportunity and anti-discrimination laws, administrative investigations and workplace trainings, Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), collective bargaining, and litigation and arbitrations.
